Please note the ceremony will take place on grass in the orchard.

Founded by Augustinian canons in 1229, Michelham Priory is steeped in history. During Tudor times the site suffered destruction caused by the dissolution of the monasteries, and in World War Two it was home to evacuees and (appropriately for us) the Canadian Army.

Outdoors there are seven acres of beautiful grounds and buildings to explore including: the Elizabethan Great Barn; orchard; medieval gatehouse; and the kitchen, physic and medieval herb gardens.

Michelham Priory is located in a small village called Lower Dicker. Near the A22, Michelham is a short distance from Polegate and is accessed via Michelham Priory road.

Main line trains from London and Brighton go direct to Polegate and Eastbourne stations and these are within a 10/15-minute drive of the venue.

Overnight parking is available; cars must be picked up by midday on Thursday.

Alternatively, local taxis are available but must be booked in advance.
